BIOGRAPHY

Born in Newport, South Wales, currently based in Bristol. 

Attained a BA in Fine Art at the University of Reading in 2017.

Attained an MA in Graphic Arts and University of Western England (UWE), Bristol in 2020.

WORK

​

Portraiture has always held particular prominence in my practice, as I have always been drawn to reimagining the expressive nature of human form. Experiments with colour and composition have allowed my work to evolve beyond realism, in favour of more abstract, stylised outcomes. As a female illustrator, I have been heavily influenced by communicating the female narrative, particularly the rhetoric of modern womanhood, notions of identity, and expression. As well as this interest in feminocentric subject matter, I also draw inspiration from different elements of pop-culture and contemporary life.

My work has become increasingly digitalised as my practice has developed. In addition to graphic illustration, my practical work includes a variety of print methods, including screen-printing, sublimation printing, and heat-pressing. The textile-based work which I have created have been an exploration  in branding techniques and commercial practice.
